Tropical Villa

This private residence, grouped into several pavilions, is axially organized toward a picturesque island framed by the bay inlet beyond. The walls of the project are entirely operable to allow full access to breezes and natural light. Deep overhangs provide protection from occasional sudden rains, direct sunlight and heat. 'Fin' walls serve to frame views while providing lateral stability for the open structure. Pools and lush plantings weave between the pavilions, opening onto the interior spaces to reflect dappled sunlight and cool the surrounding courtyards.
