Ted Porter, AIA
Principal
Ted Trussell Porter, AIA, received his Master of Architecture Degree from Yale University in 1984 after having graduated from Mississippi State University. While in school he worked with Cesar Pelli and Associates, then upon graduation joined I.M. Pei and Partners where he worked on a range of international projects. In 1994 he formed Ryall Porter Architects, the predecessor firm to Ted Porter Architecture. In addition to teaching architecture courses at both the School of Visual Arts and the New York City College of Technology, Ted is currently Co-Chairman of the NYC AIA Design for Aging Committee. He has served on educational and professional architectural juries, and on the publications committee of the ICA/CA. He is a member of the MSU School of Architecture Advisory Council and the Van Alen Institute‘s Program Leadership Council. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Porter has served as President of the Board of Gotham Chamber Opera, and on Opera America’s National Trustee Forum.
